Notorious Numbers February 20-22

Number puzzles and games occupied our play time this week...
Many of our favorite books are books whose themes are numbers.
They were fun to read over and over again:
Five Little Monkey Books by Eileen Christelow.
Ten Little Ladybugs by Melanie Gerth
There Were Ten in the Den by John Butler
Five Green and Speckled Frogs

Five Little Ducks illustrated by Penny Ives.
Playing store was a favorite activity of the week. We shopped for some of our favorite little toys. We took turns being the shopper and the cashier. Poker chips were our coins as we counted out one to five.
Numbers filled our magnet board...
Indoor hopscotch was fun to play. When we jumped on the number, we said it aloud.
We also used it for a matching game. Our sensory tub was filled with big and little foam numbers. We took the big ones over to our hopscotch and placed the matching numbers on the rug.

We visited a pretend pond where we fished for number fish from 1 to 12.
Using number cookie cutters, we created a number collage by dipping the cutters into paint and printing them on paper.
