Pizza Party

It's time for a Pizza Party!

They had a pizza party in The Lady with the Alligator Purse. Our pizza party lasted all week!

Practice makes perfect. We had plenty of practice making pizza in our pretend restaurant.
When art meets pizza amazing creativity and language happen...
Because "pizza" was the theme of the week, we had pizza everyday for lunch. Sounds mundane and boring, right?!?!? NOT! We had different kinds of pizza everyday. One day, we made fruit pizzas to go along with our scrambled eggs for lunch!
Making a pizza is really an art- edible art! We had so much fun creating our real pizzas. Unlike in our book, Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza
we did not rely on someone to make our pizzas for us. We each made our own. First, we rolled and patted out the dough to place in our pans. Next, we spooned and spread on the sauce. Adding toppings was loads of fun. We got to choose from all kinds of meats and veggies. And of course, cheese!

Such amazing creations! And now the best part...eating them!
We had our own "Chalk Art Festival" out on the driveway. We each had a piece of a huge "chalk-art" pizza to design or decorate any way we wanted.
