Beach Party!

What could be more fun than a week at the beach? Everyday was just like in the book we read- Beach Day by Karen Roosa.

We had buckets and shovels for playing in the sand, building sand castles and collecting sea shells.

Beach balls were tossed into the air and caught, rolled on the ground and bounced upon and tossed up and down on the parachute...
Sunglasses and leis were part of our beach attire.
We even decorated sun visors to shade our eyes from the bright sunshine.
Seashells and sea glass were sifted through and sorted...
Little beach umbrellas were added to our playdough play...
Sand masks were created using Plaster of Paris poured over our designs of beach findings.
A beach party would not be complete without "The Limbo". We moved under the bamboo pole as it was raised up and down as we listened to the music.
Our visit to Bear Creek Lake Park gave us a real feel for the beach as we played in the sand and splashed in the water.
