Celebrate America!

It was the time of year to celebrate America's Birthday. Lots of red, white and blue were prevalent in our play choices:

Sensory Bin...

Flag Collages...

Easel Painting...

Playdough...

Fireworks Painting...

We sang "Yankee Doodle" and read a book by the same name by Steven Kellogg.

We also read I Pledge Allegiance by June Swanson
and sang along to God Bless America illustrated by Lynne Munsinger.

Star-shaped cookies with sprinkles on top
and homemade ice cream made in a baggie were our picnic fare at the park.

Alka-Seltzer rockets

and safe sparklers added to our celebration.

Happy Birthday, America!
