An alphabet trail let us through the playroom.
A sensory tub was filled with ABC's. We searched for all of our special letters, scooped them, stirred them, poured them and more! It was like alphabet soup!
Chica Chica Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. was a fun book to read.
We read it many times and then we made our own Chica Chica Boom Boom trees. When they were dry, we added abc stickers and stamps.
We loved singing the ABC song. We also sang Cookie Monster’s "C is for Cookie", but we added our own verses.
C is for Cookie, that’s good enough for me.
C is for Cookie, that’s good enough for me,
C is for Cookie, that’s good enough for me,
Cookie, Cookie, Cookie starts with C.
We had letter pretzels for lunch one day- they were in the shape of the beginning letter of our names. We used breadsticks and shaped them to make our letter and then baked them in the oven. We dipped them in cheese. YUM!

One of our favorite activities was painting our letters. Each of us had the beginning letter of our name to paint with watercolors.
Our favorite book of the week was Superhero ABC’s by Bob Mcleod. Superheros were named after each letter of the alphabet. Favorites were V is for Volcano Man- he “vomits on villains” and we also liked Water Woman who swam with whales.
We baked up some fun with ABC cookie cutters. We mixed up a favorite sugar cookie recipe and decorated "our letters" with sprinkles and colored sugar.
More YUM!
More YUM!
Scrabble crackers were fun to eat- we found our special letters and then ate them up!
It was great fun going on an abc scavenger hunt. We found our special letters on signs, license plates, mailboxes and manhole covers. The alphabet is everywhere!
