Lots of motor planning- both gross and fine to make things balance- including us!
After reading Balancing Act,
After reading Balancing Act,
we learned how to use levels
to build bridges
and to see if our balance beams were level.
Since we had such gorgeous weather, we even used those balance beams to walk across and jump into the pool.
Equal Schmequal,
had us balancing on a teeter totter (by ourselves and with friends),
using balances for comparing weight,
and more balance beams!
We even had a trail of bricks to balance on...
We found out we were pretty good at balancing beanbag apples on our heads.
if you think this sounds familiar...
Another book about balance, Just a Little Bit,
and we created "balance" in our artwork. Eyedropper painting illustrated this perfectly. We dropped paint on our papers and as soon as we were satisfied, we folded the paper in half and rubbed the outside, squishing the paint on the inside. When we opened up our paper- surprise! The results, as always, were amazing. Our paintings were the same on each side...balanced...equal schmequal!
Many things we do are a "balancing act".
